About Children On Stage
Children On Stage (COS) is an arm of the Garland Civic Theatre, located at 108 N. 6th St., Garland, Texas.
The primary purposes of COS are to:
- Conduct open auditions.
COS will use children of ages 8-18 years for both backstage and onstage roles in quality theatrical productions for public performances.
- Provide a wide range of theatrical experience for children onstage, backstage and in the audience.
Children will be given the opporitunity to play multi-age roles.
The purpose of the Children On Stage Steering Committee is to support the COS program by providing the structure and facility to:
- Cast children (unmarried) between 8 years and 18 years of age, or full-time students in high school, in COS productions. Graduating seniors may participate through August of their graduating year.
- Aid with the studio fee on individual expression of need.
- Act as an advocate for the interest, welfare and safety of children participating in the COS program by attending production meetings and rehearsals as necessary.
